“NORDIC” is a registered trademark by Nordic Computers Ltd. under which we began to assemble our own range of desktop computers in February 2013. At this point it had taken more than 2 years of planning to start up the project.
All desktop computers are being produced at our premises in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, combining the very best of Tanzanian workmanship and Danish traditions of providing the best quality, warranty and service.
The NORDIC desktop assembly plant is partly financially supported by The Investment Fund for Developing Countries which is an independent investment fund owned by the Danish government.
The Assembly Process
During the assembly process, all parts are specifically selected and all serial numbers of all the components are tracked and stored in our database. That way we always know exactly which components are in which machine, when the system was assembled, when it was sold and to whom it was delivered.
We have standardized procedures for the assembly processes ensuring that all parts are in the right place and connected properly to the right parts. All systems undergo a stress test followed by a manual physical inspection to make sure that the consumer will not end up with a faulty product.
